This photograph is the first to capture up close the Zagreb Cathedral rising above the fog. After three unsuccessful attempts to capture this moment from aboard a plane, the author turned to unmanned aerial vehicles. He spent 13 foggy autumn nights outside the cathedral, waiting for the fog at dawn to settle low enough for the towers to remain peeking through. This phenomenon occurs only a few times each year, and usually lasts for only a few minutes. The author succeeded after his 14th attempt.
